For the money, for the glory, this 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is definitely for the fun.
The Trans Am was the top spec of the Firebird range, and this car was optioned with the standard 6.6L (403ci) ‘L80’ Oldsmobile V8. This is paired to the ‘Turbo Hydramatic 350’ 3-speed automatic transmission.
Finished in the iconic black and gold combination, the Trans Am has a glass T-top roof and is presented in neat condition. The black interior is very tidy, with an upgraded Alpine radio, and has been modified to accommodate four passengers.
Other additions to the Trans Am include fully engineered side intrusion bars and a custom twin exhaust. Finished off with the original gold wheels, this is one pretty American classic.
This Trans Am comes with a small file documenting servicing completed, and it is registered in SA under a left-hand drive exemption. Now all you need is the cowboy hat and the moustache, and you’ll be east bound and down.
