    What is it like to drive the ultimate restomod Ford Escort Mk2? We ride shotgun with Johnny Smith as he samples one of the world's most valuable Escort restomods from Motorsport-Tools.

    In case you're not familiar with the Escort, it carved out a formidable reputation in rallying in the 1970s, with eight consecutive RAC Rally wins and a European Rally Championship win to boot.

    This MST restomod has a race-ready Millington Diamond 2.7-litre engine mated with a sequential gearbox, all of which promises insane performance.

    So where better to test this car than on a rainy day in the North of Wales. Strap in as Johnny pushes the limits of adhesion in rallying royalty.
