World-first Ferrari insurance scheme launches in Australia

If you own a Ferrari and battle constantly to find insurance to suit your unique needs and those of your car, Ferrari Australasia has come to the rescue.

A new insurance facility specifically targeted at Ferrari owners and incorporating benefits that generally have not been available through mainstream—or even specialist—insurance providers was announced during the Australian Grand Prix meeting at Albert Park.

Ferrari policy headlines include:

  • Up to $200,000 of accidental damage cover effective during on-track activity hosted by Ferrari Australasia and the authorised Ferrari dealer network. The cover does not apply to club Track Days or other competitive activities.

  • Fine-tuning annual premiums based on nominated levels of use, from daily driving to 100 kilometres per year, with a facility for stored vehicles.

  • Industry-leading, four-year new for old replacement cover applicable to new cars.

  • Unlimited excess free windscreen replacements (but no mention of other cabin glass).

  • Highly flexible Agreed Value cover, which recognises the true market value of individual Ferrari vehicles up to a maximum of A$50 million.

The announcement made no mention of which Insurers have underwritten the risk or any policy conditions that may apply to vehicle security devices or garaging.

Ferrari owners are encouraged to contact their nearest authorised Ferrari dealer for details or phone Ferrari insurance directly at 1300 458 488.
