Portuguese bespoke vehicle builders Lisbon Heritage Vehicles have revealed a very special – and absolutely stunning – Land Rover limited to just a single example.

Dubbed ‘Seventy’, it has been designed to commemorate the brand’s 70th anniversary which was celebrated in 2018.

A representative of the company told Retro Rides that it is “not a restomod, not a replica – but a signature celebration of Land Rover’s origins”. As a result, this vehicle “blends the precision of a classic restoration with the exclusivity of a historically inspired creation”.

Bearing a special ‘01/01’ build number plaque on the dashboard, it’s as rare as all of the company’s custom cars. Just a single vehicle is uniquely built each year at the company’s own discretion, with orders not accepted.

Based on a 2002 Land Rover Defender, one of the most notable visual enhancements is a new fascia and grille designed to replicate that of the Series 1 Landie.

Finished in Keswick Green, a nod to the classic Light Green paint used on early Land Rover builds and in the cockpit of the Supermarine Spitfire, its looks are enhanced with colour-matched wheels and built-in louvred fenders.

A canvas roof is fitted to this particular vehicle, again to evoke the simplicity of the Series 1, while also allowing for a full panoramic view with the top removed.

Inside, the cabin is extensively trimmed in cognac leather, blending simplicity with a feeling of exclusivity that you’d expect from a one-off build. The took kit is also trimmed in matching leather.

Mechanically, it features the Land Rover Td5 engine producing 90kW (121hp) which has been rebuilt as part of the process, while it’s backed by a five-speed manual gearbox.

Anyone interested in purchasing this stunning one off vehicle can find it listed for sale on the Classic Driver website, although no price tag is publicly listed.
