Hot Wheels and Ferrari team up for the ultimate 1:64th scale dream garage

Hot Wheels for Ferrari Heritage Set
While a sold-out $190 ‘Heritage Set’ is the first offering from Hot Wheels and Ferrari’s new agreement, a range of retail scale models will also be available later in 2025

Although Ferrari has long been highly guarded with its intellectual property, it was recently announced that it had signed an agreement with Mattel for Hot Wheels to produce the first Ferrari scale models in over a decade.

Now, the first two of those scale models are here, with seven more planned to be rolled out over the rest of 2025. The first two come in the limited-edition Heritage Set which is designed to celebrate the Maranello brand’s on-track success.

Packaged inside a branded box, the set includes the Le Mans-winning 312P which was Hot Wheels’ first ever Ferrari die-cast model back in 1970, along with the modern 499P Modificata, derived from the 499P sports prototype that won Le Mans in 2024.

While this first limited-run set – priced at A$190 – has already sold out during the pre-order stage on the Mattel Creations website, there are also a number of premium and standard Hot Wheels models which will be available through global retailers later in the year.

The Ferrari Premium Series models will include the 499P Modificata available individually from July, along with the LaFerrari in September and F50 in November, priced at £8.99 each.

Also in the Premium series is a fun matching set hitting shelves in October, with a Ferrari 250 GTO and matching Fiat 642 RN2 Bartoletti Transporter available at a cost of £18.99 for the pair.

A range of standard Hot Wheels die-cast models will also be available for £2.30 each beginning in June, including the 365 GTB4 Competizione, F40 Competizione, and modern SF90 Stradale.

Finally, a remote-controlled version of the SF90 Stradale Assetto Fiorano will be available at a cost of £33.99 also in June. It’s also still in 1:64th scale, making it compatible with Hot Wheels track sets.

“This collection was developed with all Hot Wheels fans in mind, from true Ferrari connoisseurs to budding automotive enthusiasts, thanks to the attention to detail by our design team,” said Roberto Stanichi, executive vice president of the Hot Wheels brand.

“From our core die-cast available at retail worldwide to our most premium limited-edition models on Mattel Creations, fans of all ages can now bring a piece of Ferrari home.”
