The Retro Rides Podcast Episode 7: Craig Lowndes, Formula 1, and Ford Australia’s Centenary

On the latest episode of The Retro Rides Podcast, Cam has a chat with Supercars legend Craig Lowndes at the Adelaide Motorsport Festival, discussing the cars he took to the Victoria Park circuit in, along with what cars he has tucked away in the garage at home.

Cam and Rich also discuss a number of automotive anniversaries that are on the cards for 2025, perhaps none more poignant than Ford Australia’s centenary. It’s also the 75th anniversary of the Formula 1 racing series and Ferrari’s involvement in it, and likewise the 75th birthday for the iconic Citroën DS.

As always, the guys take a look at some of the latest stories and finds from the Retro Rides editorial team, including BMW’s new online heritage archive. Of course, they also discuss some recent auction results for both cars and heritage number plates.

You can watch the full podcast on YouTube below. It’s also available to stream in audio form on Spotify and iHeart.
