Senna The Series: Watch the Trailer Now

Senna, a new limited series inspired by the life, career and relationships of the greatest Brazilian driver of all times, debuts in 2024.

30 years to the day since we lost Ayrton Senna, Netflix dropped the trailer for the new series Senna inspired by the legendary Brazilian driver.

Brazilian actor and musician Gabriel Leone will play Senna in the series, following on from his role as the doomed racer Alfonso de Portago in Michael Mann’s 2023 film Ferrari.

Ayrton Senna captivated Formula One in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Earning the nickname “Magic” for his car control and wet-weather mastery, he duelled with Alain Prost in one of the sport’s most iconic rivalries.

Senna’s relentless pursuit of victory translated to a then record-breaking 65 pole positions and 41 victories in 161 races. He won three World Championships (1988, 1990, 1991), and finished no lower than fourth between 1985 and 1993.

He was a champion for improved driver safety, yet his own fierce determination was balanced by a deep spirituality. Senna’s life was tragically cut short in a 1994 crash, leaving a heartbroken motorsport world.
