Registered as a classic car on club plates with MGCC Victoria. Purchaser will need to register as a new owner. Plates cannot be transferred.
Car is US import early restoration, still in excellent condition, no rust. Due to long periods of little use, work included reconditioned new caliper pistons, rubbers, hoses, rear hubs, steering felt bushes, tie rod ends, gearbox gaskets, front wheel bearings, rear brake pistons, new oil seals and heater components, including new OEM cables. Original motor replaced (cracked block) with MGA 1600 engine fully reconditioned (sleeves, pistons, rods, bearings, balanced crankshaft, mild Tighe street cam and extractors). Clutch thrust washer, rebuilt original water pump, new gaskets, ARP studs and head reconditioned with hardened valve seats, new rocker shaft etc. Additional work involved temperature gauge repair, reconditioned SU’s, re-bushed shafts, needles, butterflies, dashpot pistons etc. Meticulously changed from left to right hand drive, using correct components to bring it back to original. Three years has been spent with far too much additional work to list. Also has original Astor Diamond Dot push button radio. Car travelled less than 400kms since completion, roadworthy and registration.
