Watch: How does Aussie muscle perform on the Nürburgring?

The Nürburgring Nordschleife is known as one of the most challenging circuits in the world, and YouTube star Misha Charoudin is known for being one of the most experienced drivers of it.

When it comes to the latest car he took for a punt around the 20.832km track to showcase to his 2.2 million-strong audience, he turned his attention Down Under.

The car in question is the Chevrolet SS, the US-market version of the VF Holden Commodore.

The final Commodore generation to be built in Australia, leaving the Adelaide factory in left-hand drive configuration for select overseas markets, it paired the 6.2-litre LS3 V8 with a rear-wheel drive chassis, Brembo brakes, Magnetic Ride Control suspension, and excellent weight distribution not far off a 50:50 balance.

And what did Charoudin make of the Aussie-made Commodore among his thousands of laps of the famous track?

“It is one of the most enjoyable things I’ve driven on the Nordschleife this year,” the YouTuber says.

“Tail-happy, endlessly controllable, and it sounds fantastic.”
