Monterey Car Week is right around the corner, and Range Rover has decided to bring some ‘capital C’ Classic style to the event in the form of a pair of stunning show cars that seamlessly blend eras.
The iconic British marque is set to roll out an exceptionally restored 1993 model – created by the Land Rover Classic expert team over more than 2000 hours – that is perfectly paired with a new, matching 2027 Range Rover SV Ultra.
Created to showcase the breadth of personalisation available to Land Rover Classic clients, the 1993 car is finished in Titan Silver – a colour launched on the new SV Ultra model.
The finish itself is quite remarkable. Far more than just your standard silver, it uses real, fine aluminium flake and advanced pigment technology to create a highly reflective, iridescent surface that evokes liquid metal.
Beyond just the colour, the Classic’s 16-inch three-spoke wheels are now finished in Satin Platinum Atlas with diamond turned contrast rims, while it also features the new Range Rover SV Ultra bonnet script and removal of the original exterior side trim for a cleaner look.
Inside, the Range Rover Classic features the use of Ultrafabrics for the first time, with it matching the light duo-tone Orchid White and Cinder Grey colourway of Range Rover SV Ultra to create what the marque describes as “a serene and design-led sanctuary”.
The seats have the same laser‑crafted pattern and intricate mosaic perforation that debuted on Range Rover SV Ultra, while bespoke door trims feature brushed aluminium handles along with colour-matched speaker covers and finishers.
The 1993 Classic started out in life as a US market County Edition, which came powered by a 3.9-litre V8 engine paired to a four-speed automatic transmission. Mechanical authenticity was maintained throughout, with a comprehensive rebuild of the original engine, transmission, suspension, steering, and braking components.
Under the bonnet, you’ll also find a plaque that highlights its provenance as the first bespoke matched pair commission.
With this car serving as an exemplar of what the Land Rover Classic team can do, it highlights just how this exclusive Classic commissioning experience allows clients to curate their own unique vehicle alongside the in-house Range Rover design experts.
