Singer presents first customer-delivered Porsche 911 Reimagined model from its DLS Turbo program

Singer Vehicle Design has been creating some truly inspiring cars based on the Porsche 964, and its latest creation is one of the most extreme we’ve seen from the California-based company yet.

Dubbed ‘Sorcerer’ by its owner, this Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer is the first bespoke creation from its DLS Turbo program, the specs on this bewinged machine are breathtaking.

Based around a 964 donor car that is stripped back completely to the bare steel monocoque, its chassis has been strengthened before being wrapped in new lightweight carbon fibre bodywork.

The design itself takes inspiration from the rare 934.5 endurance racer from the late 1970s, with the massive track-focused rear win the obvious standout feature.

Also on the outside, 19-inch front and 20-inch rear forged magnesium centre-lock wheels and carbon ceramic brakes are also fitted to reduce unsprung weight.

However, the engine is the real star of the show here. Featuring air-cooled cylinders with water-cooled heads and an electric fan, the first of its kind from Singer, this remarkable 3.8-litre flax-six has also been fitted with twin turbochargers and a hybrid Inconel and titanium exhaust system with side-exit pipes.

The result is a staggering 700hp (522kW) and 750Nm, along with a redline over 9000rpm. It’s also backed by a six-speed manual gearbox channelling all that power to the rear wheels alone.

To keep it in check, Singer teamed up with Bosh to develop specific ABS, traction control, and electronic stability control systems, along with selectable drive modes.

Inside, the owner of this first car specified seats trimmed in Pebble Grey leather with Pearl Grey Alcantara seat centres, while Champagne piping and trim inlays match the finish of its magnesium wheels. It also boasts hand-built floating gauges with Champagne bezels that bring high-watchmaking standards into the cabin.

To ensure it has all the modern practicality and comfort benefits, it also features Apple CarPlay, satellite navigation, air conditioning, and a nose lift system for clearing speed bumps.

“With DLS Turbo we wanted to celebrate the 911’s evolution as an icon on both road and track and to explore the possibilities offered by turbocharging the remarkable engine developed through the DLS program,” says Rob Dickinson, founder, executive chairman, and creative director of Singer Vehicle Design.

“Each car is a collaboration with our clients around the world, and DLS Turbo services are our most ambitious yet, so seeing Sorcerer ready for its owner to drive is a very exciting moment for us and a fantastic way to start the year.”
