Aussie muscle and Kiwi driving prowess was on full display at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, with legendary Supercars series entrants shining at one of the biggest events on the motoring calendar.

New Zealand drivers Greg Murphy and Steven Richards, four- and five-time Bathurst 1000 winners respectively, were honoured as the ‘Drivers of the Event’ after setting blistering times up the Goodwood Estate hillclimb.

Murphy was behind the wheel of the Holden Monaro 427C Nations Cup car that he drove to victory in the 2003 Bathurst 24 Hour alongside Peter Brock, Todd Kelly, and Jason Bright.

Impressively, the Monaro set the seventh-fastest time of the weekend in Murphy’s hands during the exhilarating Timed Shoot-Out, recording a 50.37-second sprint up the hill.

Richards, meanwhile, was behind the wheel of the Nissan Skyline GTS-R that his father, seven-time Bathurst winner Jim, won the 1990 Australian Touring Car Championship in. The Skyline snuck into the top 10 with a time of 55.73 seconds.

Originally invited to the 2024 edition, the duo deferred for a year due to mechanical issues with the Skyline, which perhaps proved a wise choice given these results.
