The 2025 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival is set to see a number of high-profile racing drivers and cars to the city of churches, with Formula 1 champ Damon Hill the latest headline act to join the growing list.
Although Hill won the 1996 World Championship in his final year with Williams, he'll be driving the Victoria Park circuit in the 1992 Brabham BT60B Judd he made his debut in.
This won't be the first time he's driven this track in this car, as Adelaide was still host to the Australian Grand Prix until 1995, with Hill the last-ever victor in Adelaide that year.
Aussie Alan Jones, the 1980 Formula 1 world champion, will also be in attendance to celebrate 40 years since he completed the first Formula 1 lap in Australia in his Haas Lola THL1. Of course, that car will be there as well.
Other Formula 1 personalities including former Haas team principal Guenther Steiner, current F1 lead commentator David Croft, and former driver David Brabham, the youngest son of Sir Jack Brabham.
Perhaps the most interesting Formula 1 car in attendance will be the Tyrrell P34, one of the most radical cars in the sport's history thanks to its six-wheel design featuring four tiny 10-inch rims up front.
Three-time Supercars champion Craig Lowndes will be driving it along with the 1988 Arrows A10B Megatron Formula 1 car and the Shadow MKIII Can-Am car, the latter as part of a 'Can-Am celebration'.
Other touring car drivers to feature include four-time Bathurst-winning Kiwi Greg Murphy, five-time Bathurst winner Steven Richards, current Supercars co-driver Tim Slade, and reigning British Touring Car Championship winner Jake Hill.
There will be many other categories of racing cars on display as well, with the Le Mans category for prototype racers to be a particular stand-out thanks to the inclusion of the iconic four-rotor Mazda 767B. The Leyton House Porsche 962C and Nissan R88C are also confirmed for that category.
The Adelaide Motorsport Festival's open paddock layout allows a unique chance for punters to get up close to the cars while also offering them a chance to meet the stars that drove them.
Tickets are still available at early-bird pricing through the Adelaide Motorsport Festival website, and you'll see the Retro Rides team there when Adelaide's 'mad March' rolls around in 2025.
