Paul Walker’s ‘2 Fast 2 Furious’ Mitsubishi Evo stars in upcoming movie car sale

An instantly recognisable Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII driven by the late Paul Walker in 2 Fast 2 Furious is soon set to be auctioned off alongside a host of other cars that have starred on the silver screen.

Offered exclusively online through Bonhams, the ‘Movie Car Collection’ features a range of replica and screen-used cars previously on display in the Movie Cars Central Museum near Paris, France. Every single one of them will sell, too, as all lots are offered with no reserve price.

The iconic screen-used Evo, one of four built for the 2003 film by Craig Liebermann, unsurprisingly headlines the sale with a value in the range of €250-500k (A$440-880k).

It’s not the only car from the Fast and Furious franchise to feature in the sale, either. A 1971 Chevrolet Monte-Carlo ‘Project’ used as a stunt car in Tokyo Drift and the 1986 Buick GNX ‘Reverse Car’ from Fast & Furious also feature from the earlier films.

However, six screen-used cars from Furious 7 are on offer including the Fast Attack Vehicle, Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Charger ‘off-road’ cars, a 1970 Plymouth Road Runner, a 1970 Dodge Charger, and a 1972 Plymouth Barracuda.

Other screen-used cars from recent Hollywood films near the top of the billing in this sale include a 1968 ‘General Lee’ Dodge Charger from 2005’s The Dukes of Hazzard, a 1973 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu driven by Ryan Gosling in 2011’s Drive, and a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 from 2017’s John Wick 2.

The most iconic French movie car – screen used in Taxi 2 (2000) 1999 Peugeot 406 V6

There are some screen-used Gene Winfield-built cars from classic films, too, including a ‘Police Cruiser’ from Back to the Future 2 previously displayed in the Petersen Automotive Museum, the SUX 6000 from Rococop, and the ‘Everyman’s Car’ from Blade Runner.

A particular cult classic in the sale, however, has to be what’s billed by Bonhams as “the most iconic French movie car”, the souped-up 1999 Peugeot 406 V6 from Taxi 2, which unlike any other 406 could bring as much as €70-120k (A$120-210k).

Bidding is open on Bonhams’ Movie Cars Collection from November 21-28, 2025. The full list of lots is available through the auction house’s website.
